Emission of compact starburst galaxies in radio continuum at 1.4 GHz

Abstract
For the sample of compact starburst galaxies the emission in radio continuum at 1.4 GHz is considered based on the FIRST data. Star formation rates are derived from emission at 1.4 GHz in the range 0.85 – 114 Мʘyr–1 (with median 10.4 Мʘyr–1). Relative fraction of galaxy thermal (free-free) emission in the total radio emission at 1.4 GHz is shown to have average 17 %.
